This book celebrates Herbert Reichl becoming Director Emeritus of the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration and of the
Research Center for Microperipheric Technologies of The Technische UniversitŠt Berlin.
Before this publication, a comprehensive book was published in 2005 to mark the 60th birthday of Herbert Reichl.
Now, honouring his 65th birthday as well as his becoming Professor Emeritus, the new book has a very wide scope and authors
from a whole host of countries again. Among them, special thanks belongs to the authors from the 1st World Congress on
MicroNanoReliability, held in 2007 in Berlin and joined by more than 500 participants from 46 countries.
Their contributions helped to create a very attractive focus on issues of reliability for this volume.
